Matthijs Oudkerk, MD, PhD, University of Groningen, Groningen, Netherlands, discusses the implementation of low-dose computed tomography lung cancer screening, which has been demonstrated to notably reduce lung cancer mortality in high-risk populations. Prof. Oudkerk outlines what needs to be addressed to successfully implement lung cancer screening, including defining a recruitment strategy, rate of detection and false-positives, and radiation dose. This interview took place during the virtual European Lung Cancer Congress 2022.
