ASCO 2026 | Where could emerging cell therapies fit in the treatment algorithm for head and neck cancer?

Kedar Kirtane, MD, Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, comments on how emerging cell therapies such as tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and CAR T-cell therapies may fit into the treatment algorithm in head and neck cancer. Response rates to these therapies have not been high in trials, however combining them with other treatments including radiotherapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates may prove efficacious in the future. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
