GU Cancers 2023 | Stereotactic body radiotherapy for prostate cancer

Phuoc T. Tran, MD, PhD, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, discusses the use of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for prostate cancer, which can be used in definitive as well as in the metastatic space. The Phase III PACE (NCT01584258) clinical trial assessing laparoscopic prostatectomy versus prostate SBRT. With surgery, more urinary issues were observed with regards to incontinence and with SBRT, more GI’s in regards to toxicity was observed. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2023 in San Francisco, CA.
