AACR 2025 | NRG1 fusion-positive tumors and real-world insights in PDAC
Alison Schram, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, comments on the genomic landscape and clinical features of NRG1 fusion-positive solid tumors, with a focus on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), based on real-world data. NRG1 fusions activate HER3/HER2 signaling and represent a targetable alteration, as evidenced by the approval of zenocutuzumab in this setting. Findings highlight distinct clinical and histologic characteristics of NRG1+ PDAC and highlight the utility of RNA-based testing for accurate detection, supporting tailored treatment strategies in this rare but actionable patient subset. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2025 in Chicago, IL.
