Giulio Francolini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, outlines the results of a pooled analysis investigating the use of trimodality therapy versus radical cystectomy in the treatment of patients with non-metastatic muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) who do not have comorbidities and are suitable for surgery. The study found that trimodality treatment could offer an alternative treatment to radical cystectomy in non-metastatic MIBC, and results were used to generate Grades of Recommendation, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE). This interview took place during the 2021 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium.
