Nan Chen, MD, University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, explores the role of recurrence score testing in improving the benefits of anthracycline for patients with early-stage breast cancer. Past studies were limited by the lack of stratification by recurrence score and there is potential to reanalyze these cohorts. Dr Chen emphasizes the need for future research on node-positive populations to identify score cutoffs that predict anthracycline efficacy. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
