WCLC 2024 | Expediting treatment decision making in NSCLC with liquid biopsies

Luis Raez, MD, Memorial Cancer Institute, Pembroke Pines, FL, provides an overview of findings from a study utilizing liquid and tissue biopsies in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Simultaneous use of liquid and tissue next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques enabled the decision-making process to be done in approximately eight days, highlighting the benefits of liquid biopsies. Dr Raez subsequently suggests liquid biopsies to be used first over tissue biopsies. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
