WCLC 2024 | How can we reduce disparities in lung cancer trial enrollment?

Frank Weinberg, MD, PhD, University of Illinois Chicago, Chicago, IL, comments on how clinical trial enrollment amongst historically underserved populations can increase. For many patients, logistics in terms of participating in trials can be an issue, and Dr Weinberg highlights the need to build trust with patients in terms of experience in using the investigational therapies and educating them on how clinical trials work. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
