WCLC 2024 | Outcomes and pCR after chemo-immunotherapy in resectable NSCLC
Daniele Marinelli, MD, Sapienza – Università di Roma, Rome, Italy, explores results from a systematic review on the prognostic significance of achieving pathologic complete response (pCR) or major pathologic response (MPR) in resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) following neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy. Both pCR and MPR are associated with improved event-free survival (EFS), but the addition of adjuvant immunotherapy post-resection did not enhance survival outcomes, regardless of the patient’s pathologic response status. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
