Tsuyoshi Konishi, MD, PhD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, provides an overview of developments in rectal cancer, including findings from trials assessing immunotherapy in patients with microsatellite instability (MSI) high rectal cancer. Further research is additionally required to investigate the impact of immunotherapy on existing radiotherapy.
