ESMO 2020 | Sexual function in YA with a brain tumor

Charlotta Bergström, RN, Karolinska Institute, Solna, Sweden and Danderyds Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden, highlights the issue of sexual function in young adults following a brain tumor diagnosis. Few studies in young adults with brain tumors have assessed sexual function in these patients. Results from this study showed only a small number of patients had spoken to a healthcare professional about their issues, highlighting a need to talk to patients in routine care about their sexual function following a cancer diagnosis.
