ESMO 2024 | Biomarker validation for treatment sequencing in pancreatic NETs

Ramon Salazar, MD, PhD, Institut Català D’Oncologia, Barcelona, Spain, discusses the SEQTOR trial (NCT02246127), which examined sequencing therapies in advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (panNETs). While promising, the biomarker findings require further validation in ongoing Phase III trials. The potential for a more personalized approach to panNETs treatment hinges on validating these biomarkers, emphasizing the need for continued research in this field to optimize patient outcomes. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
