ESMO 2025 | DNA immunotherapy (INO-3107) in HPV-6 & 11 recurrent respiratory papillomatosis: long-term efficacy

Nabil Saba, MD, Emory University, Atlanta, GA, discusses the challenges of managing recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, a rare disease caused by HPV-6 and 11, and highlights the potential of DNA-based therapies, such as INO-3107, in reducing the need for surgical interventions and inducing an immune mechanism to prevent tumor recurrences. Dr Saba notes that the treatment has shown promising results, with a significant decline in surgical interventions required by patients, reaching up to 80% in the second year, and emphasizes the importance of understanding the immune-based mechanisms underlying this virally mediated condition. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2025 Congress in Berlin, Germany.
