WCLC 2022 | Practical recommendations to combine small-molecule inhibitors and direct oral anticoagulants

Leila-Sophie Otten, PharmD, Radboud University Medical Centre, Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands, provides an overview on an exploration into the practical recommendations to combine small-molecule inhibitors and direct oral anticoagulants. In this study, five anticoagulants (apixaban, edoxaban, betrixaban, rivaroxab and abigatran) and all 20 small molecule inhibitors were reviewed for possible drug-drug interactions. Half of the combinations were found to result in relevant drug-drug interactions. This interview took place at the IASLC 2022 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Vienna, Austria.
