Aristotelis Bamias, MD, PhD, University of Athens, Athens, Greece, comments on the importance of translational medicine, especially in prostate cancer. Whilst there have been many advances in clinical trials, Prof. Bamias highlights the need for them to be applicable in the clinical practice. In Greece, patients additionally need to be able to receive the latest standard of care, so that outcomes can be comparable to that of other countries. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
