EBCC 2024 | Very accelerated partial breast irradiation for low-risk breast cancer

Jean-Michel Hannoun-Levi, MD, Antoine Lacassagne Cancer Center, Nice, France, comments on the emerging role of very accelerated partial breast irradiation (VAPBI) in patients with low-risk breast cancer. Administering VAPI in one or two days instead of five proved to be beneficial in patients, with a promising late toxicity profile additionally reported. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
