Georges Mjaess, MD, MPH, Hôpital Universitaire de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium, emphasizes the need for more data on biomarkers for response to chemo-immunotherapy in muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), stating that current biomarkers are not used in clinical practice and that further research is required to develop effective biomarkers. Whilst the AURA trial (NCT03674424) did not utilize biomarkers to assess response to treatment, this could be an area of interest for future studies. This interview took place at the 2025 European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress in Madrid, Spain.
