Michael Morris, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, addresses the challenges in using radioligand therapy for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Key issues include the supply of actinium, the need for education in radiopharmaceutical drug development, and understanding the unique toxicity profiles of each drug and radioligand. Dr Morris highlights the need for adaptive dosing strategies and the importance of evaluating target expression, molecule behavior, and clearance rates to determine appropriate dose thresholds.
