GU Cancers 2025 | MEVPRO trials: investigating EZH2 inhibitors in mCRPC

Michael Schweizer, MD, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle, WA, describes ongoing trials evaluating enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) inhibitors in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The MEVPRO-2 (NCT06629779) trial is testing these inhibitors in androgen receptor pathway inhibitor (APRI)-naïve patients, while the MEVPRO-1 (NCT06551324) trial focuses on patients who previously progressed on abiraterone. These pivotal studies will determine the efficacy of EZH2 inhibitors and their potential role as a standard of care. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
