Susan Dent, MD, FRCPC, Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC, talks on the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines on cardio-oncology that describes how to determine baseline risk and the prevention strategies that can be utilized following risk determination. Prof. Dent additionally outlines the key challenges faced by cardio-oncologists, including understanding the impact of newer breast cancer agents on cardiovascular health, and highlights the importance of a collaborative approach in the care of patients’ cardiovascular health. This interview took place at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) 2022 in San Antonio, TX.
