ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers 2023 | Future directions for molecular profiling in cardiac sarcoma

Robert Cusimano, MD, FRCSC, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, reviews the current state of cardiac sarcoma research, touching on its association with heightened mortality and the current challenges faced by researchers concerning molecular profiling. In order to surmount such obstacles, Dr Cusimano details the ‘INTERACT’ project which is in the process of development and would involve the establishment of an international database of patients with cardiac sarcomas. This interview took place at the 2023 ESMO annual Sarcoma and Rare Cancers congress in Lugano, Switzerland.
