BCC 2021 | EUROPA: endocrine therapy or partial breast irradiation for older women with breast cancer

Icro Meattini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, provides an update on the ongoing EUROPA trial (NCT04134598), a randomized trial focused on older adults with breast cancer. In this study, women aged 70 years and above with luminal A-like early-stage breast cancer will be randomized to receive partial breast irradiation alone or endocrine therapy alone, with the main objectives being the determination of patient-reported outcome measures. This interview took place during the 17th St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference.
