ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers 2023 | Investigating the efficacy of perSARC to predict STS recurrence and OS

Michiel Van De Sande, MD, PhD, Leiden University Medical Center, Leiden, Netherlands, discusses the clinical efficacy of the perSARC model to determine the risk of developing local recurrence or distant metastasis in patients with soft tissue sarcoma (STS). This online tool proposes to predict such events based on patient characteristics, and is primarily used the relative effectiveness of radiotherapy and surgery in the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma. This interview took place at the ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers Congress 2023 in Lugano, Switzerland.
