Lauren Pretorius, Campaigning for Cancer, Randburg, South Africa, outlines the current patient advocacy initiatives from Campaigning for Cancer, the first patient advocacy group in South Africa, which was formed in 2008. Major focuses include community engagement and awareness, policy-making projects, and improving the personal journeys of patients. Ms Pretorius also discusses the group’s aims to implement strategies pertaining to patient transportation.
