ESMO 2022 | Minimizing cough and dyspnea in patients with cancer

David Hui, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses strategies to reduce cough and dyspnea, which can cause both emotional and physical distress, in patients with cancer. Dr Hui comments on pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options, underlying causes, as well as methods to identify symptoms. The incorporation of palliative care is additionally highlighted, where a multidisciplinary approach is necessary to address these symptoms. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2022 Congress in Paris, France.
