ASCO 2026 | Can genomic alterations be used to inform radiotherapy dosage?

Amy Xu, MD, PhD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, explores how genomic alterations could be used to inform radiation dosage, which was the focus of a Phase II trial (NCT05010031) of palliative doses to metastatic solid tumors. To improve applicability, a follow-up study is being conducted for more definitive doses of radiotherapy where toxicities can limit treatment. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
