WCLC 2022 | AI in lung cancer screening: accuracy and predictive value

Ricardo Sales Santos, MD, PhD, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, São Paulo, Brazil, shares the accuracy and predictive value of an algorithm utilized in lung cancer screening. The algorithm analyzes 709 images from the First Brazilian Lung Cancer Screening (BRELT1) in Brazil. The algorithm showed high sensitivity and predictive value of 97.8% and specificity and positive predictive value of 56.1%, with an overall accuracy of 81.1%. This interview took place at the IASLC 2022 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Vienna, Austria.
