GU Cancers 2025 | ARTO: impact of BRCA status in abiraterone-treated mCRPC ± SBRT

Giulio Francolini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, explores a secondary analysis from the Phase II ARTO trial (NCT03449719), which assessed the impact of BRCA status on outcomes in patients with oligometastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer treated with abiraterone with or without stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). The findings confirm a benefit of SBRT in BRCA-negative and untested patients, while results in BRCA-positive patients remain inconclusive due to limited sample size. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
