ELCC 2022 | The latest developments in risk models to predict outcomes following lung cancer surgery

Elena Prisciandaro, MD, University Hospitals Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, discusses the development of risk models as a result of the personalization of medicine. The European Society Objective Score (ESOS) has allowed thoracic surgeons to predict comorbidities and risk factors associated with mortality following lung cancer surgery. Risk models such as ESOS can enable the identification of appropriate therapruitc pathways for each patient undergoing lung resection to thereby enhance patient outcomes. This interview took place during the virtual European Lung Cancer Congress 2022.
