WCLC 2024 | Management of radiotherapy-related adverse events in small-cell lung cancer
Bjørn Henning Grønberg, MD, PhD, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, gives an overview of commonly observed side effects of radiotherapy in patients with small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). Esophagitis is one of the most frequently-observed adverse events, and is often transient, where patients may experience some discomfort. Local anesthetic is recommended but some patients may need tube feeding. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
