ASCO 2023 | Reducing neurocognitive decline in long-term cancer survivors

Nicholas Steve Phillips, MD, PhD, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, discusses strategies to slow brain aging associated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy in adult survivors of pediatric cancer. For long-term survivors, physical exercise has shown to preserve brain matter, and engaging in mental activities such as reading may additionally alleviate cognitive decline. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Annual Congress in Chicago, IL.
