ESMO 2023 | Barriers to implementing behavioral and structural interventions in oncology

Jose Martin-Moreno, MD, PhD, University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, comments on limitations to implementing behavioral and structural interventions with the intention of preventing cancer. Cultural factors and eating and drinking habits mean that people may not strictly abide to guidelines. Political will and an increased budget are needed to make sure such interventions will have an impact on the population. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2023 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
