Soraia Lobo-Martins, MD, Institut Jules Bordet, Brussels, Belgium, discusses the Phase II ROSALINE trial (NCT05229052), which investigated the combination of endocrine therapy with entrectinib in patients with stage IIA–IIIA hormone receptor-positive, HER2- invasive lobular breast carcinoma (ILBC). The trial differs from the ROLO trial (NCT03620643), which assessed crizotinib in this setting. Despite promising preclinical rationale targeting ROS1 inhibition in E-cadherin–deficient tumors, the primary endpoint was not met. However, the regimen demonstrated moderate radiologic response. This interview took place at the 2025 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Breast Cancer Annual Congress in Munich, Germany.
