ASCO 2019 | Challenges in treating glioblastoma

Manmeet Singh Ahluwalia, MD, FACP, of the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, discusses the challenges in treating glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and the treatments currently being investigated. Here, Dr Ahluwalia discusses an update of the phase III Checkmate 498 (NCT02617589), of nivolumab in combination with radiotherapy as treatment for patients with newly diagnosed MGMT-unmethylated GBM. Dr Ahluwalia also highlights the results of the trial of ABT-414 as a potential treatment for GBM patients with EGFR amplifications.
