ASCO 2024 | Treatment strategies for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy

Tarah Jean Ballinger, MD, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN, gives an overview of reducing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, which can impact quality of life and a major reason for dose reduction in patients. Whilst exercise and applying ice on the hands and feet have been suggested as prophylactic measures, duloxetine and gabapentin are predominantly used to treat neuropathy. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
