ELCC 2022 | LungPredict: exploring the tumor microenvironment to improve and personalize immunotherapies

Vera Pancaldi, PhD, Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse – Oncopole, Toulouse, France, talks on the development of tools to aid in describing and understanding the tumor microenvironment (TME) to assist in the development of personalized therapy. The TME consists of various cells surrounding the cells comprising the tumor. The LungPredict project utilized integrated datasets from RNA sequencing and multiplex immunofluorescence to analyze the cells within the TME and the cellular interactions of the TME in patients with lung cancer. Simulations of the TME were built to allow for the investigation of treatments in-silico prior to testing in patients to help in identifying the optimal personalized treatment for each patient. This interview took place during the virtual European Lung Cancer Congress 2022.
