Tian Zhang, MD, MHS, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, explains the IMDC criteria and discusses its role in deciding on the best first-line treatment for patient with advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Dr Zhang also discusses other important clinical factors to consider during this process, such as the patient’s tumor burden and how symptomatic they are.
