ASCO 2024 | Final OS findings of zolbetuximab and FOLFOX6 in the SPOTLIGHT trial

Kohei Shitara, MD, National Cancer Center Hospital East, Tokyo, Japan, discusses the final overall survival (OS) analysis of the Phase III SPOTLIGHT study (NCT03504397) of zolbetuximab combined with modified FOLFOX6 (mFOLFOX6) in patients with CLDN18.2-positive, HER2-negative, locally advanced unresectable or metastatic gastric/gastroesophageal junction (G/GEJ) adenocarcinoma. Results showed significant improvements in progression-free survival (PFS) and OS with zolbetuximab. Safety and tolerability were consistent with no new findings, affirming zolbetuximab and mFOLFOX6 as a potential new standard of care in this space. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
