ASCO 2024 | Assessing the role of sunvozertinib in pretreated NSCLC and in potential first-line usage
James Chih-Hsin Yang, MD, MPH, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, comments on the emerging role of sunvozertinib in patients with EGFR exon 20 insertion-mutated (exon20ins) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which was evaluated in the Phase II WU-KONG1 study (NCT03974022). Encouraging responses were recorded in patients pre-treated with amivantamab or brain metastases. Sunvozertinib is currently being assessed in the second-line but the Phase III WU-KONG28 trial (NCT05668988) will investigate sunvozertinib in the first-line setting. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
