Allison Betof Warner, MD, PhD, Stanford Medicine, highlights the lack predictive biomarkers for selecting checkpoint blockade regimens in melanoma treatment. Patients who progress after tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy may benefit from trying a different agent if they received a prior regimen. While clinical trials remain the ideal option, the need for bridging therapies and ongoing research to better understand the biomarkers that predict TIL failure and guide treatment selection. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
