ESMO 2024 | Assessing the safety of pembrolizumab with CAPOX-bevacizumab for CRC in the POCHI trial

David Tougeron, MD, PhD, Poitiers University Hospital, Poitiers, France, discusses findings from the Phase II POCHI trial (NCT04262687), highlighting that the combination of pembrolizumab with CAPOX and bevacizumab shows a safety profile similar to chemotherapy alone, with few immune-related adverse events (irAEs). The efficacy is promising, with some patients achieving complete responses (CR). Further biomarker analyses are needed to understand why certain patients experience CR. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
