ESMO 2024 | Real-world insights on pembrolizumab for ER-low triple-negative breast cancer

Francois Cherifi, MD, CLCC Francois Baclesse, Caen, France, discusses the PROMENADE study, which examines the real-world efficacy of pembrolizumab combined with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in treating patients with ER-low triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) in France. Based on the KEYNOTE-522 regimen (NCT03036488), the results suggest that ER-low, HER2-negative breast cancer should be treated similarly to TNBC to maximize partial complete response (pCR), with further studies planned to confirm these findings. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
