ESMO 2024 | ATALANTE: 5-year OS results of atezolizumab in platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer
Jean Emmanuel Kurtz, MD, PhD, University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France, discusses findings from the ATALANTE trial (NCT02891824), which evaluated the addition of atezolizumab to standard therapy in platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer. Results show a modest increase in median overall survival (OS) with atezolizumab compared to placebo, with a 5-year OS rate also favoring atezolizumab. PD-L1 status did not significantly predict benefit, and subsequent therapies were similar across groups. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
