ESMO 2024 | Evaluating c-Met expression levels in tumor response to ADCs

John Strickler, MD, Duke Cancer Institute, Durham, NC, comments on the role of c-Met expression levels in predicting patient response to antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) across tumor types. High c-Met expression often correlates with improved progression-free survival and response rates, yet ADCs may show efficacy even in patients with intermediate or low c-Met levels. Establishing optimal cut-offs for patient selection depends on therapeutic context and line of therapy, and ongoing studies aim to refine these parameters for improved patient outcomes. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
