Michail Ignatiadis, MD, PhD, Jules Bordet Institute, Brussels, Belgium, gives an overview of key challenges in integrating liquid biopsy in the metastatic setting, including educating clinicians, establishing workflows for implementing these assays in clinical practice, and setting up molecular tumor boards to interpret results. Additionally, financial aspects, including reimbursement for these assays as companion diagnostics, remain a significant hurdle in widespread adoption.
