GU Cancers 2025 | PLUMMB: final results of pembrolizumab & hypofractionated RT in bladder cancer

Robert Huddart, PhD, FRCR, MBBS, MRCP, The Institute of Cancer Research, London, UK, discusses final findings from the Phase I PLUMMB trial (NCT02560636), evaluating the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of pembrolizumab combined with hypofractionated radiotherapy (RT) in advanced bladder cancer. Results confirm that 24 Gy in 6 fractions with pembrolizumab is well tolerated and effective, which highlight the potential of immunoradiotherapy in bladder cancer treatment. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
