Giannis Mountzios, MD, Henry Dunant Hospital, Athens, Greece, gives an overview of the Y-LUNG initiative, which aims to elucidate the mechanisms of carcinogenesis in young patients with lung cancer, particularly those under 45 years old, who often have never smoked and are not exposed to known environmental carcinogens. The initiative will investigate environmental, genetic, and occupational factors contributing to this trend. This interview took place at the European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC) 2025 in Paris, France.
