SABCS 2025 | SABCS 2025: sentinel lymph nodes and next-generation oral SERDs

Sunil Badve, MD, FRCPath, Emory School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA, provides his highlights from the 2025 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) meeting, including data on lymph nodes and sentinel lymph nodes, which suggest that examining the sentinel lymph node can provide a reliable indication of the status of the axilla, potentially eliminating the need for complete axillary dissection in many patients. Additional trials of interest include the lidERA trial (NCT04961996) which assessed giredestrant, a next-generation oral SERD. This interview took place at the 2025 SABCS Meeting in San Antonio, TX.
