Mark Jeng, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses the importance of annotating more patients with lung cancer to validate subsets of a large cohort and potentially applying the findings to a non-MSK cohort for external validation. Additional multivariable analysis and temporal analyses are needed to understand how mutations are acquired over time in patients with local, early-stage lung cancer versus metastatic disease. This interview took place at International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) 2026 Targeted Therapies of Lung Cancer Meeting (TTLC) in Huntington Beach, CA.
