ASCO 2026 | Practical challenges of adoptive neoantigen-specific T-cell immunotherapy in MGMT-u glioblastoma
Tolga Tuncer, MD, University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS, discusses the challenges and benefits of adoptive neoantigen-specific T-cell immunotherapy for MGMT-unmethylated glioblastoma. Production of the T-cells begins immediately after tumor resection and takes around two weeks, giving this approach an advantage over typical CAR T-cell therapy. Dr Tuncer highlights another advantage of the T-cell immunotherapy through targeting multiple antigens to attack the glioblastoma more globally. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
